Attic Art Finds restoration process is to never eliminate the originality of the item. Before listing for sale Attic Art Finds inventory of , paintings, drawings, Prints, sculptures, and ceramics, are reviewed for damage. The item after review is  forwarded to our independent expert conservators who use specialized techniques, and materials to restore each piece. All acidic matting etc is replaced. The art items are placed  into custom framing, and shatter proof museum UV glass. When possible original framing is kept and fitted with the shatter proof museum UV glass.

The provenance of a relic or artifact reveals a certain story. And aren’t stories loved by all?  The provenance history when possible includes a written record of owner’s name ownership dates, and inheritance, or sale through a dealer or auction and where the work was kept, from the time of it’s creation by the artist until the present day.   

Moreover, an accurate chain of provenance helps in determining the value of a piece. When  original documentation is not available; reasonable current documentation is often acceptable to collectors.
